The Beginning
Every garden starts with a foundation
In 2019, our founders — a soil scientist and a regenerative farmer — noticed something troubling. The soils available to home gardeners were lifeless, filled with fillers, and produced mediocre results.
They knew that beneath every thriving garden was a living ecosystem of billions of microorganisms working in harmony. So they set out to create soil blends that honoured this complexity — products that did not just hold plants up, but actively nourished them from the ground up.
DIRT was born from a simple belief: when you get the soil right, everything else follows. Better roots. Better yields. Better flavour. A better relationship with the earth beneath your feet.
